# Publish and connect a domain

Publish a reviewed page and follow the checks for a custom subdomain.

## Publish a finished page

1. Open the final version and read its quality notes.
2. Read the publication status. If it is not yet live, use Publish, then open the public address to verify it.
3. Keep working in a new revision when you need changes. The published version stays available while the replacement is built.

## Connect your domain

If custom domains are available in Hosting and included in your plan, connect the subdomain you want to use. Add the DNS records shown in Hosting.

Ownership, HTTPS, and routing are checked separately. A connected domain does not make an unpublished page live. Wait for the domain and the page publication to be ready, then test the public address.

**Use a supported subdomain**

Use the subdomain and DNS records shown in your account. Support for root domains and wildcard domains depends on the connection options available there.
